Extensive experience in freight transport equipment sales now aimed at trailers
Andrew McKenzie has made the transition from senior Paccar executive to group sales and distribution general manager at trailer manufacturer MaxiTrans.
The newly created position involves national responsibility for sales, distribution and marketing for each of MaxiTrans’ trailer and rigid truck body brands.
McKenzie previously held senior sales, manufacturing and engineering roles at Paccar Australia, most recently as general manager of Kenworth and DAF in Melbourne.
“Andrew has been extremely successful in his 10-year career with Paccar and we look forward to him applying his experience with one of the country’s leading truck manufacturers to the MaxiTrans trailer business,” managing director Michael Brockhoff says.
McKenzie says he will concentrate on building on MaxiTrans’ extensive distribution network.
“MaxiTrans offers industry leading products through its Freighter, Maxi-CUBE, Hamelex White, Lusty EMS, AZMEB and Peki brands, coupled with a broad network of sales, service and parts locations,” he says.
“Those were major factors as to why I was excited to come on-board with Michael and the team.
“My first action will be to get out on the road with our sales team to speak first hand with as many MaxiTrans customers as possible.
“I want to gain a first-hand understanding of what makes this company great and more importantly, what we can do to make it world class.”
Some of those improvements would come via a new company-owned NSW dealership currently being put in place.
“MaxiTrans NSW, through its two locations in Ingleburn and Warnervale, has already been a great success,” McKenzie says.
“Not prepared to rest on our laurels, we are already looking to further enhance our customer experience and capabilities in NSW via a number of exciting announcements over the coming months.”
