Recall on Foton Aumark and ISF

Front brake issues spark Foton Aumark and ISF recall

A recall notice has been issued for a number of Foton Aumark and ISF vehicles, with defected trucks suffering from front brake problems.

“On a number of vehicles, the front brake pads display excessive amounts of thermal expansion, resulting in the brakes dragging under certain conditions,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission statement says.

“If the defect occurs, the front brakes may engage and not release, posing an accident hazard to the driver and other road users.”

The recall includes vehicles sold nationwide by authorised Foton dealers with vehicle identification numbers between LVBV3JBB2AJ000128 and LVBV4JBB2EJ002996. However, not all included in the range are affected.

Customers with a defective Foton model will receive a letter advising them to contact their preferred dealer.

Foton Aumark and ISF vehicles suffered a seatbelt recall in 2013.
