Hiab to lift lid off new T-series crane range, showcase the XR 26Z hooklift

New light crane and XR 26Z hooklift to headline Hiab stall at BTS 2015

Load handling specialist Hiab will be showcasing its latest power range universal hooklift at the Brisbane Truck Show, alongside a global launch of a new T-series crane range.

Mounted on a Scania truck, the hooklift will show off its new safety system and versatility at the show according to Hiab.

“The XR 26Z hooklift is specially designed and engineered for the Australian market and accommodates multiple bin rail widths, heights and lengths,” Hiab marketing manager Nicola Anderson says.

“Productivity will be increased when utilising the fast-tipping and fast bin-lowering option.

“The XR 26Z also features a revolutionary new safety system with a double-acting rear and optional front hydraulic bin locking system,” she says.

Show goers will also have the chance to see Hiab’s senior executive vice president Hiab sales & markets Carl-Gustaf Goransson officially launch the new T-series light crane range on Friday, May 15.

The T-series cranes are driven by Hiab’s HybridDrive, providing users with the opportunity to run the crane on electricity alone and off a power pack that is charged by the truck’s engine.

Featuring the company’s CastBase crane mount and eDurance surface protection, the new range can be configured to include the Hiab SmartControl option, which allows operators to complete a range of movements simultaneously.

The feature would, for example, allow loaders to rotate the crane while also adjusting its reach.

Hiab says it will boost operator’s productivity by reducing the series of movements the crane would need to make when loading or offloading.

For visitors who would like to try their hand at operating a crane, Hiab will have a simulator at its stall compete with a genuine Hiab remote pack and display.
