Featuring a variety of exhibitors, the Melbourne Truck and Trailer Show opened to the public yesterday and offered visitors a new range of equipment.
Truck and trailer manufacturers and a host of suppliers unveiled their wares at the event, including MAN debuting its new 540 horsepower range and Iveco displaying new versions of its Daily light commercial line-up.
MaixTrans used he event to showcase for the first time its refrigeration unit that uses liquid nitrogen to eliminate bulky and potentially noisy petrol or diesel refrigeration units, while offering no loss in performance.
There is no official word on crowd numbers, but exhibitors are hopeful of a good turnout to spur enquiries on new products as the Australian economy recovers from the global financial downturn.
