NSW truck drivers face potential delays due to a road closure of Olympic Drive in Lidcombe this Friday to Monday.
The road will be closed to replace the rail overbridge.
Drivers have been advised to detour via the Hume Highway and Centenary Drive when using the northbound carriageway to avoid delays.
Southbound truck drivers are being asked to use Parramatta Road and Centenary Drive to avoid the same problem.
And as the Australia Day holiday approaches, the NSW branch of the Australian Trucking Association (ATA-NSW) has reminded drivers that double demerit points will apply for road law breaches.
Double demerits apply from midnight tonight through to midnight on Tuesday.
