Western Australian tow truck companies will have the option to tender for new towing and storage contracts for the State’s police force.
WA Police’s current contract expires at the end of August and it now needs companies to provide towing, storage and disposal services as well as a call centre facility.
The contracts are expected to run for an initial term of three years with two one-year extension options available at the end of the tenure.
Various towage and storage contracts have been operated by WA Police since 1994 for vehicles that have been accident damaged, stolen, destroyed, caused obstructions, have been impounded or confiscated and those which are required for forensic purposes.
