The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) and the Federal Government will roll out seven new safety upgrades at level crossing in South Australia and New South Wales over the next fortnight.
In NSW, boom gates and giveway signs will be installed on the Fitzroy Tungenbone Road at Spring Ridge and Black Stump Way at Connemarra.
Crooke Plains Road in Cooke Plains, Yumali Road at Yumali, Westbriook Road at Tailem Bend, Point Lorne Road at Long Plains and Narridy-Merriton Road at Merriton will all be amongst the share of the funding in SA.
Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Anthony Albanese says nationally $150 million has been rolled out for rail crossing upgrades at 292 locations throughout the country.
