The NSW road toll continues to rise, with a woman dying after a collision with a B-double on the Pacific Highway on Monday.
The incident happened at Coffs Harbour about 1pm.
Police are still investigating, but say initial inquires show the 52-year-old woman was attempting to turn right on to the highway at an intersection at Hurley Drive when the collision occurred.
Emergency services treated her at the scene but she died from serious injuries.
“The driver of the truck was uninjured in the incident and was taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital for mandatory tests,” a police statement says.
Police interviewed witnesses at the scene but have urged anyone else who may not have spoken to investigators to contact Coffs Harbour Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The NSW road toll is currently 427, 89 more deaths than this time last year.
