Drivers from three different trucking companies will compete for the Professional Driver of the Year award during this year’s NatRoad conference.
The industry representative group has released its list of finalists for this year’s 2009 Global Transport Insurance NatRoad Awards, which also includes the Transport Youth of the Year Award.
The Noske Group’s Michael Janske, William Russell from Milthorpe Transport and John Ryan from ABC Freighters are all in the running to win the Professional Driver of the Year Award.
Noske Group has the chance to scoop another award, with its employee Jayden Tonkin being nominated for the Transport Youth of the Year.
He will compete with Adam Cornish from Harris Refrigerated and Jason Tunsted from Shoobridge Transport.
“The awards are an important event on the NatRoad calendar to recognise and reward those people who have contributed to the increasingly professional and positive profile of today’s trucking industry,” NatRoad President Rob McIntosh says.
The winners will be announced on August 8 as part of the NatRoad conference held in Coffs Harbour from August 6.
