British rail haulage operator the Freightliner Group has entered into a long term agreement with Namoi Cotton to provide rail haulage for the company’s NSW operations.
Freightliner, which has long been looking at the possibility of expanding into Australia, ran its first load of containerised cotton from Namoi on Tuesday. Corporate Development and Strategy Director Adam Cunliffe says Freightliner is also looking to consolidate its move into Australia.
“Freightliner have been exploring a number of overseas opportunities, and we are delighted to have commenced a long term partnership with Naomi Cotton,” Cunliffe says.
“By providing the same levels of service and reliability for which we have become known within the UK, we look forward to enhancing our Australian operation.”
