Australian Tax Commissioner Michael Carmody says today's claim by some media that the newly produced booklet
BAS Basics includes an incorrect example is "simply untrue".
"People can rely on
BAS Basics, it has no mistakes," Carmody says.
"The printed booklet and copy on the Internet are both correct."
The booklet explains that there are two ways to complete the BAS, the ‘accounts method' and the ‘calculation-sheet method'.
