Followmont adds Bundaberg piece to Queensland puzzle

New depot in Bundaberg grows state regional and rural presence

Followmont Transport has expanded in Queensland, announcing the opening of a new depot in Bundaberg.

With an existing network of Queensland depots and agents, the new facility located on the Entrance of Activity Street in Svennson Heights adds to its state footprint.

While currently light on detail, the company says the Bundaberg depot will increase its capabilities to deliver directly to regional and remote areas.

Noting steady growth in the region, Followmont says the decision to launch in Bundaberg follows “a desire to have better controls and systems in place to service customers in the Bundaberg area”, and “will benefit regional customers with an improved personalised customer service synonymous with the Followmont Brand”.

“For Followmont Transport to be in Bundaberg, it means many things,” Followmont Queensland general manager of transport Chris Knuth says.

“We now have 100 per cent control of customers’ freight, in and out of the region, and customers now have direct access to our network and services throughout Queensland and New South Wales, which is a big win for both Followmont and our customers,” he says.

Followmont Transport managing director Mark Tobin adds: “Our people live by our values, and that passion drives the business to help others at any given time and we are excited to being a part of the Bundaberg community.”

With the addition of the Bundaberg depot, Followmont Transport now employs moe than 800 staff and boasts more than 30 depot locations across Queensland and NSW.
