MaxiTrans in employment initiative with McCallum Disability Services

Up to 12 people with a disability gaining experience on production line

MaxiTrans has partnered with disability support provider McCallum Disability Services for a labour hire initiative at its Ballarat plant.

The agreement sees up to 12 people with a disability gain employment on the company’s production line.

The placement is for six months, with the prospective for ongoing work.

“MaxiTrans is proud to be supporting such a great initiative. Partnering with McCallum Disability Services has helped create great opportunities for people with a disability at our manufacturing facility in Ballarat, Victoria,” the company notes.

McCallum CEO Tyrone McCuskey says that the partnership has offered people opportunities that previously would not have had.

“There’s a lot of flexibility, a lot of different things that people can use here which they wouldn’t get to use in our own factory,” he tells WIN News Ballarat.

“So whether that’d be tools, or mixing with other employees on this site, their self-esteem has grown immeasurably.”
