Zoom2u snaps up rival service Fetchh

First takeover an early consolidation among courier/express disruptors

Express deliveries ‘disruptor’ Zoom2u has taken to consolidation with the start-up courier service Fetchh now part of it.

Zoom2u notes the deal is its first takeover.

“The acquisition of Fetchh enables us to gain access to a wider business customer base and bring some passionate innovators into our team,” Zoom2u founder Steve Orenstein says.

According to Fetchh founders Will Jensen and Bryan Maass, Zoom2u was one of several Australian start-ups disrupting traditional post and courier services that they met in the early days of forming their firm.

They insist the two firms are well matched culturally, with a focus on “customer experience, simplicity, and efficiency”.

“Among the teams we worked with, Zoom2u stood out as a game changer,” Jensen says.

“Steve Orenstein had created a new system focused on the same principles that we had built Fetchh upon: customer experience, simplicity, and efficiency.

“The technology Zoom2u uses, to tell customers where their couriers are, at all times, is fantastic and saves everyone so much time.”
