Bransgrove snaps up Smart award for individual excellence

Other gongs recognise innovations in supply chain and technology solutions

 

High profile trucking identity Nola Bransgrove was recognised for outstanding individual achievement at the supply chain and logistics industry’s Smart Awards in Melbourne.

Bransgrove’s taking of the Smart Individual Award for Excellence, which recognises an outstanding contribution to the supply chain profession over more than 10 years, adds to an impressive array of honours for the Gippsland operator.

In the US on the night, she accepted the tribute via video link for her work in setting up the TruckSafe accreditation system and Transport Women Australia along with other contributions to and positions in the transport industry.

“I’m really fortunate to work in an industry that’s been responsible for building and developing this great nation we all live in,” Bransgrove says

“It continues to make everyday living ‘everyday’ and ordinary but which in reality is a complex, challenging and ever-changing environment to do business in and provide countless employment opportunities.”

In streamlining of operations and improvements in cost control and customer service across transport modes, Emporium Melbourne was highlighted for its innovative, Australian-first truck lift and associated scheduling technology that transports vehicles 30 metres up and down.

Manufacturing supply chain recognition went to Diageo for supply chain consolidation in a new distribution centre that was three years in the planning.

The top supply chain management accolade went to Honeywell Scanning and Mobility for its real-time visibility and advanced information access across multiple locations allowing RFID track and trace throughout the supply chain for Bunnings.

Santos won the procurement award for its partnering contractual approach with suppliers that led supply management and contract performance management solution.

Toll Remote Logistics was the specialised logistics winner for its Defence Department services transporting military assets in high-risk locations and to tight deadlines.
